The Swiss master came through 6-3 6-4 to win the 3rd Qatar Open as well as 67th title of his career.

“I think my form is good enough but obviously the opponents are going to get more and more difficult. I know how to win here which is a great advantage for me but there are so many great players left in the draw so it is still a very difficult tournament to win.” said Federer

The defending champion beats Austria’s Jurgen Melzer 16th seed and won 6-3 6-2 6-3 in 85 minutes.

“I’m excited about having the weekend off because it’s been a tough first week. I’m excited to still be here.” Federer said

The six-time winner beats French opponent Arnaud Clement easily, notching up a 6-2 6-4 6-2 win on Centre Court.

“After 33 years there is huge happiness that she should visit this year for the fans. I’m just so glad I got a chance to meet her,” Federer said.
