“We dedicate this win to the people of Pakistan who would have loved to have come and watched us playing at home. We remember them and hopefully we’ll be back soon playing in Pakistan.” Salman Butt

“Anyone who saw that wicket would have been surprised by how much it did seam because it looked fairly dry. Pakistan used the conditions perfectly and had our batsmen under pressure all the time.” Ricky Ponting

Pakistan claim their first Test win over Australia for 15 years with a three-wicket victory at Headingley as the series ends 1-1.

Interesting bit of info here …

Last weeks 7.8 magnitude earthquake has actually physically moved the southern end of  NewZealand approx 12 inches closer to Australia and its eastern end approx 1 cm to west.

Pretty cool!

Huge as this earthquake was it caused only slight damage to buildings and property when it struck the remote southwest Fiordland region of the South Island last Thursday, creating a small tsunami with max wave of 1 meter.

New Zealand frequently suffers earthquakes because it marks the meeting point of the Australian and Pacific continental plates.
