Filed under NewsIts almost official folks … as of July 2009 residents of NSW, Australia are likly to being payig and extra $2.50 per week for their electricity …… why??
The extra revenue generated will be used over the next 5 years to upgrade the CBD.
awww … don’t be sad now … Its gonna cost 17.7 billion only! … Don’t you wanna pay for it??

Typical response from a government out of ideas – raise prices – soon electricity will be a luxury item. Another $130 on top of increasing council rates, increasing water rates, increasing food costs, increasing bank fees, increasing petrol costs, increasing carbon taxes etc etc etc. The only thing not increasing is my pay packet. I am sure the politicians will vote themselves a pay increase to cover these costs. If the government is reaping $1B each year why not put it back into infastructure? Also, how will this upgrade stop cables being broken during construction??? These ELECTED idiots need a brain transplant!
